What This Trip Is All About ...

The Concept: What This Trip Is All About

The idea of this trip: concentrate on peak experiences, and a very relaxed schedule.  A "bucket list tour of Spain!"

Time to really savor food, wine, music, history, special places, and each other. Enough concentrated attention on just a few things that we'll remember distinctly everything we did when we return back home. And hopefully regard it as one of our most memorable travel experiences ever.

The food (and tapas, tapas, and more tapas, and the adventure of doing that), great local wines, El Rastro and Cava Baja and Goya at the Prado in Madrid, walking the hill town of Toledo, the Mesquita in Cordoba and Alhambra in Granada, Flamenco in Sevilla, and the unique parts of every town along the way (Madrid, Toledo, Cordoba, Sevilla, and Granada) all will create an encounter with Spain that will turn out to be the highlight of a lifetime of travel!

Our "wheels": Fun, efficient, ROOMY and reasonable -- Spain's clean, efficient, and modern trains. AC plugs at every seat, precisely on time, clean clean bathrooms, very accessible and pristine clean train stations, and great cuisine.

Highlights:
Madrid to Granada is our core trip, May 8 to 17, 2020.
Optional Pre-Trip, May 3-8, 2020: Madrid, Porto (Portugal), Santiago de Compostela, San Sebastian, Madrid
Optional Post-Trip: May 17-27, 2020: Malaga, Ronda, Morocco, Madrid

"No-Host" Trip: You make your own flight, train, hotel reservations, based on our recommendations, OR your own research.  Some joint outings, dinners and touring TBD.  "Separate checks" for all activities, no "group costs" associated with participating in this trip.  The ONLY costs are the reservations, food, drink, taxis, and other parts of the trip you arrange yourself, within the suggested outline provided here.
